Our Pixel Natives Team

Pixel Natives is comprised of a team of professionals, with backgrounds across an array of digital disciplines. They are exceptionally passionate about the new digital world particularly iPhone app development and Android app development, mobile app development, web 3.0, and web services.

The founders of Pixel Natives; Brett Hogan, Matthew Hogan, Michael Wollny and Eycke Langhans, have been working together since 2006.

Brett Hogan | Communication Director

Brett Hogan has worked in the creative media and technology industries for over a decade. He has a Bachelor of Communication and extensive knowledge in brand management, retail campaign development, web 3.0 services and mobile application development. Brett has had the privilege of working with brands including Bentley, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Lotus, Audi, Alfa Romeo, Domino’s Pizza, Subway, Qld Government and Channel Ten. His expertise has lead him to work across a plethora of industries including, automotive, finance, Government, hospitality, real estate, media, music, and telecommunications.

Brett sets our strategic direction for client engagements and projects, maintaining project vision while possessing a deep understanding of project details, and identifying and planning ideal solutions to meet clients’ business needs.

He enables our clients to maximise the impact of their communication endeavors through the use of a range of media and technology solutions. To ensure that clients achieve their communication goals as effectively as possible, Brett combines years of experience in media buying and planning with creative thinking, current and future technologies, and factual analysis to develop appropriate strategies.

Matt Hogan | Creative Director | Information Architect

Matthew Hogan has worked in the graphic design industry for more than a decade with his ability in print leading to three Gold and several silver print design awards. He is able to combine his design and technical sensibilities to produce interactive applications that fuse high-quality design with a robust technical backbone. Having completed a four year degree in Graphic Design at the University of Canberra, he has a deep understanding of and appreciation for corporate branding, style guide development and implementation.

Matthew’s role is to lead Pixel Natives design and future developments team. He has a real passion for mobile app development and in managing resource teams to deliver the desired outcomes. He sets the Pixel Natives creative tone and pace of the studio.

He has very strong technical skills coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of client’s needs so that they can be transformed into application and operational requirements. He acts as an interface between our business unit, mobile development teams and management team.

Matthew has provided business analysis, information architecture, mobile app development and design services to clients in both private and public sectors including the Old Parliament House, Woodmark Arne Christiansen, Charles Wilson Industrial Design, The National Portrait Gallery, Queensland Education and Training International, Audi, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Audi Australia, Audi AG Ingolstadt and PrestigeWay.

Mike Wollny | Interactive Art Director

Mike establishes the conceptual and stylistic direction for client projects and orchestrates their production through the management of our team of artists, photographers, illustrators and other creatives. He creates interface concepts, original graphic and icons for use on iPhone apps, iPad apps, iPod Touch, and Android app development projects and web 3.0 platforms.

He is renowned for creating highly effective design solutions and graphic material from concept to completion with meticulous attention to detail. He is well ad-versed in the use of web design parameters, style guides and visual standards.

Mike has designed for brands such as Telis Finanz, Regensburg Tourism, Forensika, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, and Audi.

Eycke Langhans | Technical Director

Eycke holds a Degree in Information technology from the Fachhochschule of Regensburg, enriching his understanding of and appreciation for information architectures and how they can be expressed. His programming knowledge extends through a variety of concept, practices, and procedures within HTML5, Javascript, CakePHP, PHP Frameworks, and Magento E-Commerce stores.

He develops the technical specifications for the web 3.0 platforms, iPhone app development and Android application development, leads our Pixel Natives web service team of highly trained programmers, and troubleshoots, tests and oversees the launch of new products.

Drawing upon years of experience and knowledge of internet issues and technologies to solve somethings daunting problems, he has provided business analysis, definition, architecture, search engine optimisation and design services to clients in both private and public sectors including Telis Finanz, Regensburg Tourism, PrestigeWay®, Forensika, Maserati, Audi Australia and Audi AG Ingolstadt.

Our Brisbane, Australia and Regensburg, Germany based mobile and tablet app development team comprises staff with expertise in site architecture, content management, graphic design, coding (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, CakePHP, Objective C, web services, AJAX), and database development.
